Cloud Support: Microsoft 365, Azure & Hybrid Infrastructure

A cloud migration done right involves more than flipping a switch. You need a plan for security, identity, licensing costs, and what happens the day after go-live. Salt Data Innovations helps companies design, migrate, and run cloud and hybrid environments on Microsoft 365 and Azure. If you're moving to the cloud for the first time, cleaning up a messy tenant, or connecting on-prem servers to Azure, we can help.

Common Challenges

Cloud challenges we help you solve

Migration without a plan

Moving to Microsoft 365 or Azure without a structured assessment leads to data loss, downtime, user confusion, and security gaps. A cloud readiness assessment identifies risks and dependencies before you start.

Security gaps in cloud environments

Cloud environments need identity management, conditional access, MFA enforcement, and proper backup, not just out-of-the-box defaults. Without active governance, sensitive data can be exposed.

Uncontrolled cloud costs

Azure and M365 costs can grow quickly without right-sizing, license optimization, and usage monitoring. Many companies overpay for resources they don't fully use.

No backup or disaster recovery

Microsoft's built-in retention isn't a backup strategy. Without independent cloud backup and a tested disaster recovery plan, you risk losing data permanently.

What We Deliver

End-to-end cloud services

We handle cloud projects from the initial assessment through migration and into day-to-day operations. Our primary stack is Microsoft 365 and Azure, but we also work with hybrid setups where on-prem servers need to talk to cloud services.

Cloud readiness & migration

We assess your current environment, identify workloads suitable for cloud migration, plan the migration sequence, and execute it with minimal disruption. Mail, files, applications, and identity are all covered.

Microsoft 365 management

Tenant configuration, user lifecycle, license optimization, security policies, and Teams/SharePoint governance. We keep the environment clean and properly locked down so it doesn't drift into a mess over time.

Azure infrastructure

We deploy virtual machines, networking, storage, and PaaS services with infrastructure-as-code practices, monitor them continuously, and optimize for cost and performance.

Identity & access management

Entra ID (Azure AD) configuration, MFA, conditional access, and SSO integration. Identity is the new perimeter. We lock it down properly from day one.

Backup & disaster recovery

Independent cloud backup for Microsoft 365 data (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) and Azure workloads. We define RPO/RTO targets, configure automated backups, and regularly test restores.

Cost optimization

Regular reviews of Azure consumption and M365 licensing. We identify unused resources, recommend right-sizing, and implement reserved instances or savings plans where appropriate.

Getting Started

How we deliver cloud support

1

Assessment

We review your current infrastructure, cloud readiness, licensing, security posture, and business requirements.

2

Architecture & planning

We design the target cloud environment: tenant configuration, network topology, security controls, backup strategy, and migration plan.

3

Migration & deployment

We execute the migration in phases, with validation at each step. Users are trained and transitioned with minimal disruption.

4

Operations & optimization

Once live, we provide ongoing management, monitoring, security operations, and periodic optimization reviews.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you only work with Microsoft 365 and Azure?+
Microsoft 365 and Azure are our primary platforms, but we also support hybrid scenarios connecting on-premises servers to cloud services, and we can coordinate with AWS or other cloud providers where needed.
How long does a cloud migration take?+
It depends on the scope. A straightforward Microsoft 365 migration for a 50-user company typically takes 2-4 weeks including planning, migration, and validation. Larger or more complex environments may take longer.
Is Microsoft 365 data backed up automatically?+
No. Microsoft provides limited retention and recycle bin features, but this isn't a true backup. We implement independent cloud backup solutions that provide point-in-time recovery for Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams data.
Can you help reduce our Azure or M365 costs?+
Yes. We perform regular cost reviews to identify unused licenses, oversized virtual machines, and underutilized resources. We recommend optimizations including reserved instances, license consolidation, and resource right-sizing.
Do you provide training for our team?+
Yes. As part of any migration or major change, we provide onboarding sessions and documentation so your team understands how to use the new tools effectively and securely.
What security measures do you implement?+
We configure MFA, conditional access policies, data loss prevention rules, and email security. We integrate managed detection and response tools and set up alerting for suspicious activity across your cloud environment.
